The NBA Finals have gone all the way to a 7th and deciding match up despite the Warriors having what seemed an unassailable 3-1 lead.

Likely Teams

Golden State: Andrew Bogut; Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala; Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry.
Cleveland: Kevin Love; Tristan Thompson, LeBron James; JR Smith, Kyrie Irving.

There have been 107 regular season games between these sides, with the Warriors leading 56 wins to 51. There have been 12 playoffs games with Golden State holding a shrinking lead, 7 games to 5. Cleveland produced a brilliant backs-to-the-wall 115-101 win in Game 6 to take the series to a decider.

The Warriors have been in devastating form for the entire season, which they had carried into the finals. They demolished the Cavs in the opening two games, before copping a 30 point hiding in Game 3. After returning to their winning ways in Game 4 to lead 3-1, they have lost the last two games, the first time they have lost back-to-back games this year.
Cleveland has been strong throughout the playoffs but after a slow start in the finals against Golden State, they have won 3 of the last 4 games to tie the series and to take the Premiership decider down to a 7th and final game.

Key Match-Up

Curry v James – Curry bounced back to form in Game 6 racking up 30 points. However it was LeBron James who again top scored with 41 points. He’s now picked up 82 points in the last two games and is in very good form.

Golden State have been near impossible to beat when they have home court advantage, but after having two games to close the series out and getting easily beaten both times, Cleveland have every right to think that maybe the Warriors have choked. But with the dominance Golden State have shown all year, you simply cannot write them off. This will be the closest game of the series.
